FAQs
Are members of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society (YAS) entitled to a discounted ticket price?
We have priced tickets to make the event accessible to everyone and members of YAS are not entitled to discounted or free tickets.
Will tickets be available to purchase on the door?
Tickets will not be available to purchase on the door. Tickets can only be purchased in advance online and are subject to availability.
Do I need to book a seat to attend any of the talks or workshops?
There is no need to book a place at any part of the programme. Your entry ticket entitles you to attend any session you wish without any further prior registration. Please just turn up for the session you wish to attend and take a seat.
Is food and drink available during the event?
A range of hot and cold food and drink options will be available to purchase throughout the duration of the conference from two café outlets inside The Halls from 8.45am – 5pm. Alternatively, you are welcome to pay a visit to Fodder – Great Yorkshire Food Hall, which is located on the edge of the Great Yorkshire Showground, next door to the Yorkshire Agricultural Society offices. Fodder offers the option to purchase sandwiches from the shop or hot food is available from the 1960’s Airstream Takeaway located in the car park.
Do you offer reduced rates for group bookings?
A 10% discount is available for groups of 10 or more. To take advantage of this, contact groups@yas.co.uk.
Do you offer reduced rates for students?
There is no student discount, however, you can benefit from a 10% discount if booking with a group of 10 or more.
Is there access to Wi-Fi at the event?
Yes, WiFi will be available.
Will there be access to a cash machine?
There is not a cash machine on site, however, there is one available at Sainsbury’s on entry to the Showground.
Can I get a refund on tickets purchased?
Tickets for the Yorkshire Farming Conference are non-refundable.
I’ve ordered e-tickets, but they’ve not arrived.
After ordering your e-tickets, you will receive an order confirmation email, followed by another email which includes your tickets as a pdf attachment. We ask, where possible, for e-tickets to be PRINTED out (including the bar code) and shown to the gate staff for scanned authorisation. Tickets that are on Phones, Tablets etc can cause large delays for you and other customers. If you have not received your e-tickets, please send an email to weborders@yas.co.uk
Do I have to pay for car parking at the Great Yorkshire Events Centre?
Car parking on the Showground is FREE.
Can I claim BASIS and NroSo points?
Yes, you will be able to claim points at the Conference.
